Product Description
The mill stone and hammer stone are composed of weathered granite. Both
implements have been dressed to their current shape.
They were found circa 1946 under five metres of heavy topsoil by George Dugan whilst
sinking wells at a property named Belalie, South of Cunnamulla in South-Western
Queensland.
The heavily eroded surfaces of the artifacts and the fact they were covered by such a
soil depth suggests extreme age perhaps many thousands of years but a proper
assessment cannot be made without analysis
