Story as told by the artist:-“He gets the rifle fish living in the lilies and takes them
away. He goes by tree to tree. He gets frightened by people that may be there and
then goes away and stays in side his cave.”
Lurick was taught to paint by his father, renowned artist Paddy Fordham who has now
passed on. The recurring subject in both Luricks’ and Paddys’ paintings is the Mimi.
