Product Description
The Honey Ant Ceremony in this work is defined by the large wavy circles in the middle which
are sand paintings for ceremony and the linear dotting running from side to side symbolizes
the body paint. The story comes from the Yuelemu area.
The smaller circles on either side are the underground Honey Ant chambers and the kidney
shapes on the painting are Ant pupae.
Honey ants were a delicacy and an important food source for Aboriginal desert dwellers.
