Product Description
The items were collected in the 1940’s by Harry Phillips at Toorale Station which is
situated in outback NSW 60 km’s SSW of Bourke. Harry was a frequent visitor to Toorale
which was an historic 91000 hectare sheep and cattle station before being taken over by
the Federal and NSW Governments in 2008. He collected the items when flooding had
exposed them.
The rivers and flood plains at Toorale attracted much wild life which would have been
hunted by the Wongaibon who were the traditional land owners there.
