Product Description
A giant water lily grew at a sacred water hole near Ingham. The old people of the Hinchinbrook tribe told the women that when they were collecting water lily bulbs they were not to pull up the giant lily as it held all the water. A young girl did not listen and pulled at the giant lily stem. The water was released and created the sea around Palm Island. Two sisters who were digging for food near White Rock were caught in the flood and tried to use their digging sticks to keep above the water but they drowned. They became the two reefs near White Rock.
